Up Close and Personal, Babyletto

December 23rd, 2011

In 2006, MDB introduced Babyletto, a new brand of baby furniture  that really centered on providing parents with clean, fresh and modern designs.  With the simple and clean lines of each nursery collection, it leaves a lot of room for inspiration and creativity.  Not to mention each piece is carefully crafted with safety in mind, Babyletto is not only stylish but safe.

It’s been four great years and we look forward to providing safe, modern nurseries for years to come! As a tribute to this amazing brand, we wanted to reintroduce our original nursery collections with a fresh new look and showcase some of our newest items. Here’s a behind the scenes video of an exciting photoshoot we had for the brand back in October.  We can’t wait to launch all of these new looks for the upcoming year. We’ll let the video tell you more about it!

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Let it Snow!

I was just going through my usual design blogs and magazines and stumbled upon this beautiful weekend home of Aerin Lauder, granddaughter of the legendary Estée Lauder, in beautiful Aspen.  I’ve had the privilege of having gone skiing in Aspen myself, and these pictures make me want to go back this winter!  Usually, when I think ski lodges or cabins, I see a lot of plaid and more plaid, but her home is amazing.  There’s a lot of light, and use of clean and simple lines.  It’s kept pretty classic and modern at the same time, which is what I love about it!  Don’t you think the white  Babyletto Mercer Convertible 3-in-1 Crib would look amazing in this house?   What do you guys think of the house?

Getting Reacquainted with Nature

August 31st, 2011

Hello Nature, nice to see you again.

Inspiration comes in many forms and from many different places. As a designer, sometimes sitting in an office with a sketch book in front of you just does not get the creative juices flowing. Stepping out of the daily office environment does the body and the (design) mind good.

For the Love of Photography

June 29th, 2011

I love taking pictures.  Lots and lots of pictures.  Of anything and everything.  I’ll have to admit though, I’m not very good at taking pictures.  At least not yet.  I was recently gifted a pretty nice camera, and have been trying to figure out how it works.  And can I just tell you…it’s been so much fun! Roundup ICFF 2011

June 1st, 2011

May, I was fortunate to attend the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York.  This year was especially exciting because Nurseryworks launched two swoon-worthy lines of furniture, the Uptown Collection and the Vetro Collection. While at the show, it has always been a treat to explore all of the gorgeous designs featured at the show, and this year was no exception.

A Feast Fit For Your Little King or Queen

April 19th, 2011

Does your baby dread feeding time?  As you approach their mouth with a spoon full of food do they turn their head as quick as lighting as if to say “Enough with this bland mushy food, I’m a baby for crying out loud not an animal!”?  How many times have those newly-learned motor skills provided a wall of flailing limbs, preventing you from even getting close to providing your baby with some nutrition?  If this sounds like feeding time at your house, you’re not alone! Retail Therapy

March 28th, 2011

Oh, how far we have come!  From nervously bidding on used collectibles on eBay in the early 2000s to purchasing million-dollar automobiles online in 2011, we are living in an age in which e-commerce companies are growing at an incredible rate of user adoption and revenue.  Get this, though, it’s lead by women!
